It is officially spooky season, and with that in mind, there’s no better time of year to cozy up with a blanket and a hot drink and watch a movie (unless you’re in Shreveport, in which case, you’ll probably cozy up with a fan on the highest setting and a nice cold drink until this awful heatwave passes). So, let’s talk about some of the best movies to watch as we get closer to Halloween . . .

Though the frightful night of Halloween has passed us, we still have one more location at Centenary to discuss, and it’s the hauntings at Magale Library. If you’ve studied there late at night, you’ve likely felt an eerie feeling, especially on the second floor. Maybe you’ve felt a chill, or even that someone watching you. Or perhaps you’re one of the few people who’s actually seen the ghost on the second floor, the ghost of a little girl wandering the rows of books.

It’s almost Halloween, and it’s time to explore another area of haunting on campus: James Hall. James, like Cline, is known by its residents to have a ghost, and this ghost is one that William Morrison, Assistant Director of Res Life, had a first-hand encounter with.

The Sub, the home of Centenary’s newspaper now online, does have some creepy aspects to it- the third floor at night definitely gives one the spooks, as does the basement, with its dim, fluorescent lighting that might flicker at the most unnerving times. But the Sub does not have ghosts in it, despite all this… but it does have two people within it who are intimately familiar with the ghosts at Centenary, ones that you’re more likely to encounter if you live on campus: the Dorm hauntings.
